Camera Shop Comment
The Pentax SMC PENTAX-A 645 80-160mm f/4.5 is a versatile medium format zoom lens designed for the Pentax 645 system. Its focal range covers short telephoto to medium telephoto perspectives, making it especially useful for portraits, landscapes, studio work, and detail photography.

One of the main advantages of this lens is the convenience of a zoom range in the 645 medium format system. Instead of carrying several fixed focal length lenses, photographers can cover a useful range with a single lens while maintaining the distinctive look and image quality of medium format photography.

The constant f/4.5 maximum aperture provides consistent exposure throughout the zoom range, while Pentax’s SMC coating helps reduce flare and ghosting and improves contrast and color reproduction.

This lens is particularly recommended for photographers who want a flexible telephoto option for Pentax 645 cameras. Its solid manual-focus construction, practical focal range, and classic Pentax rendering make it a strong choice for portrait, landscape, and studio photographers using the 645 system.

For users who enjoy the slower, more deliberate shooting style of medium format photography, the 80-160mm f/4.5 offers an excellent balance of versatility, optical performance, and classic Pentax build quality.
