As a relatively rare focal length in the Contax lineup, it is especially sought after by collectors and serious photographers.

With its dramatic 25mm field of view, this lens is ideal for landscapes, architecture, street photography, and environmental portraiture. It delivers a strong sense of depth and perspective while maintaining excellent edge-to-edge sharpness and minimal distortion for its class.

One of the defining characteristics of this lens is the legendary Carl Zeiss T* coating, which provides rich contrast, deep color reproduction, and excellent resistance to flare and ghosting. Images produced by this lens have the distinctive Zeiss “3D pop” and micro-contrast that photographers highly value.

The compact size and relatively lightweight construction make it comfortable for handheld shooting and travel photography, while the all-metal build quality offers the premium mechanical feel expected from classic Contax Zeiss lenses.
