The Minolta MD W.Rokkor 28mm f/3.5 is a compact manual-focus wide-angle lens from Minolta's respected Rokkor line. Introduced in the MD era, it brings Minolta's well-known colour rendering and build quality to a practical, lightweight 28mm design.

Optically, the lens produces clear, detailed images with the warm, natural colour that Rokkor lenses are celebrated for. Stopped down, it delivers crisp results across the frame, making it a dependable lens for landscapes, architecture and travel.

The 28mm focal length offers a broad yet natural perspective. It is ideal for capturing scenes with context, such as street environments, interiors and sweeping landscapes, while keeping subjects looking realistic.

The lens has a solid metal construction, a smooth focusing ring and clearly marked depth-of-field scales, which make zone focusing easy and fast for candid street photography.

MD coupling allows full-aperture metering and supports shutter-priority and program exposure modes on compatible Minolta bodies such as the XD and X-700, giving you more shooting options on classic Minolta film cameras.

On film, the lens works with Minolta manual-focus SLRs such as the SR-T series, XE, XD, X-700 and X-570. It also adapts easily to modern mirrorless cameras including Sony E, Fujifilm X, Canon RF, Nikon Z and Micro Four Thirds using an MD/MC adapter, where focus peaking and magnification make manual focusing precise and enjoyable.

Rokkor lenses remain popular today for their distinctive rendering and quality build. This 28mm is a compact, characterful wide-angle that works beautifully on both film and digital cameras.

If you are looking for a classic, well-made wide-angle lens with Minolta's renowned colour, the MD W.Rokkor 28mm f/3.5 is an excellent choice.
