The Tamron AF 18-200mm f/3.5-6.3 XR Di II Macro is a lightweight, compact superzoom designed for APS-C DSLRs. On Nikon DX bodies, it covers an equivalent range of about 27-300mm, making it a true do-it-all lens for travel and everyday photography.

Tamron's XR (Extra Refractive) glass, along with LD low-dispersion and aspherical elements, allowed this lens to cover an 11x zoom range in a remarkably small body. Images are crisp and colorful, with good control of chromatic aberration for a lens of this type.

At just under 400g, it is light enough to carry all day, and internal focusing keeps the front element from rotating, which is convenient when using polarizing filters.

The lens focuses as close as 45cm throughout the zoom range, offering a maximum magnification of 1:3.7. This makes it very handy for flowers, food and details, in addition to its wide-angle and telephoto capabilities.

This is an ideal travel lens. You can capture landscapes, architecture, portraits, street scenes and distant wildlife without stopping to change lenses, reducing the risk of dust on your sensor and missed moments.

Designed for Nikon F-mount DX DSLRs, this lens offers a practical, cost-effective alternative to manufacturer superzooms. Please check focus-motor compatibility with entry-level Nikon bodies that lack an in-body AF motor.

Tamron has long been known for excellent superzoom design, and this model remains valued for its compact size, versatility and solid everyday image quality.

We recommend this lens to Nikon DX users who want one light, versatile lens to cover nearly every situation. It is a convenient, dependable choice for travel and daily shooting.
