The Konica HEXANON 52mm f/1.8 is a fascinating standard prime lens from the early era of Konica SLR cameras. This particular version uses the rare Konica F Mount, which predates the much more common Konica AR mount.

With its 52mm focal length and bright f/1.8 maximum aperture, the lens provides a natural perspective that works beautifully for everyday photography, portraits, street scenes, and classic film photography. Its vintage HEXANON optical design is appreciated for its pleasing rendering, natural color reproduction, good contrast, and distinctive character.

One of the biggest attractions of this lens is its historical significance. The Konica F mount was used only during a relatively short period on early Konica SLR cameras such as the Konica F, FS, FP, and FM, making F-mount lenses considerably less common today than later Konica AR lenses. Contemporary listings and references identify the 52mm f/1.8 as one of the standard lenses associated with these early cameras.

This is an especially interesting choice for collectors of early Konica equipment, vintage Japanese optics, and photographers who enjoy the mechanical feel and unique rendering of classic manual-focus lenses.

Please note: This is a Konica F Mount lens. It is NOT compatible with Nikon F Mount cameras and should not be confused with the later Konica AR Mount.
