The Nikon Zoom-NIKKOR 35-105mm f/3.5-4.5 Ai-s is a versatile manual-focus standard zoom from Nikon's Ai-s era. It covers a wide range, from moderate wide-angle to short telephoto, making it an ideal one-lens solution for Nikon film cameras.

Optically, it is regarded as one of the better manual-focus zooms of its time, delivering crisp, contrasty images with natural color. Nikon's coatings help reduce flare and maintain clarity.

The lens uses a one-touch push-pull design, allowing zoom and focus to be adjusted with a single ring. This makes framing and focusing quick and intuitive once you are used to it.

A built-in macro function at the 35mm setting allows close focusing down to about 0.27m, letting you photograph flowers, details and small objects without additional accessories.

This lens is excellent for travel, street, landscape and portrait photography. The 35mm end captures wide scenes, while 105mm offers classic portrait compression.

With Ai-s coupling, the lens provides full-aperture metering on Nikon manual-focus film cameras and on many Nikon DSLRs. It adapts easily to Sony E, Fujifilm X, Nikon Z, Canon RF and Micro Four Thirds mirrorless cameras via a Nikon F adapter.

Today, this zoom remains valued for its build quality, versatile range, and the authentic handling of Nikon's classic manual-focus lenses.

We recommend this lens to film shooters seeking a single versatile zoom and to mirrorless users who appreciate classic Nikon optics and the convenience of macro capability.
