The 7artisans 25mm f/1.8 is a compact manual-focus standard prime lens designed for APS-C mirrorless cameras, here in the Fujifilm X mount. It offers a fast f/1.8 aperture, a solid metal build and a classic manual shooting experience at a very accessible level.

On Fujifilm X-series cameras, the 25mm focal length gives a field of view equivalent to approximately 37.5mm in 35mm terms. This versatile, slightly wide standard perspective is ideal for street photography, travel, everyday documentary work and environmental portraits.

The bright f/1.8 aperture allows shallow depth of field and attractive background blur, while also making it possible to shoot in low light without raising ISO too far. Its 12-blade aperture helps produce smooth, rounded out-of-focus highlights.

The lens has a sturdy metal barrel and a smooth focusing ring with a comfortable throw. The click-less aperture ring allows seamless adjustment, which is especially useful for video recording.

With a close focusing distance of 0.18 m, the lens is capable of attractive close-up shots of food, flowers and small objects, adding creative flexibility to its standard focal length.

Because it is fully manual with no electronic contacts, you will need to enable 'Shoot Without Lens' in the camera menu. Fujifilm's focus peaking and magnification features make precise manual focusing quick and intuitive.

The lens has become popular among photographers who enjoy the tactile experience of manual focus, as well as video creators looking for smooth aperture and focus control on a budget.

If you are looking for a compact, fast and characterful manual prime for your Fujifilm X camera, the 7artisans 25mm f/1.8 is a fun and capable choice.
