The Nikon AF NIKKOR 80-200mm f/2.8D ED is a legendary professional telephoto zoom that served countless press, sports and wedding photographers. Its constant f/2.8 aperture and superb optics made it a workhorse of Nikon's professional lineup for many years.

Optically, it is renowned for its sharpness, contrast and beautiful rendering. Three ED glass elements control chromatic aberration, while the fast f/2.8 aperture and nine-blade diaphragm produce smooth, attractive background blur.

The lens is built to professional standards with a sturdy metal barrel and precise controls. It feels solid and dependable in the hand, designed to withstand demanding daily use.

As a D-type lens, it transmits distance information for Nikon's 3D Matrix Metering and advanced flash control. Autofocus is driven by the camera body's motor, offering quick performance on Nikon's higher-end film and digital bodies.

This lens excels at portraits with gorgeous subject isolation, indoor sports, weddings, events, stage performances and wildlife. The constant f/2.8 aperture helps maintain fast shutter speeds in challenging light.

It is compatible with Nikon F-mount film and digital SLRs. Autofocus requires a body with a built-in focus motor (such as the D7000 series, D300, D700, D750, D800 series or F100). The aperture ring allows use on manual-exposure film cameras and with adapters on mirrorless bodies.

Today, the 80-200mm f/2.8D ED remains highly valued as one of the best-value professional telephoto zooms available, offering pro-level image quality at a fraction of the cost of newer designs.

We highly recommend this lens to portrait, event and sports photographers who want genuine professional f/2.8 performance and build quality.
