The Nikon AF NIKKOR 35-135mm f/3.5-4.5 is a classic autofocus zoom from the early years of Nikon's AF system. With its push-pull zoom design and versatile focal range, it was created as a convenient all-in-one lens for photographers using Nikon's first generation of autofocus SLRs.

The lens delivers sharp, colourful images with good contrast and a pleasing, classic Nikon rendering. Its relatively bright f/3.5-4.5 aperture range is faster than many consumer zooms of its type, which helps in lower light and offers more control over depth of field.

The one-touch push-pull design allows you to zoom and focus with the same ring, a quick and intuitive way of working that many photographers still enjoy. A macro setting adds useful close-up capability for flowers and details.

The lens is built to a solid standard, with a metal mount and a sturdy barrel that reflects Nikon's quality of the 1980s. It has an aperture ring, which makes it fully compatible with older film bodies and with simple aperture-ring adapters.

It autofocuses on Nikon film and digital SLRs equipped with a built-in AF motor, such as the F4, F90/N90, F100, D80, D90, D200 and D7000-series. On DX cameras, it becomes a roughly 52–202mm equivalent zoom, a practical range for portraits and events.

The 35–135mm range is ideal for travel, family photography, portraits and general-purpose shooting. It covers everything from environmental scenes to tighter portraits without the need to change lenses.

Classic AF Nikkor zooms like this remain popular because they combine Nikon build quality with versatile ranges at very accessible levels, making them excellent companions for Nikon film cameras in particular.

If you are looking for a versatile, well-built Nikon zoom with classic character, the AF NIKKOR 35-135mm f/3.5-4.5 is a dependable and enjoyable choice.
