Professional Camera Store's Recommendation

The Olympus OM10 is a compact, lightweight 35mm SLR introduced in 1979 as the entry point to the acclaimed Olympus OM system. It was designed to make SLR photography simple and approachable, and it brought the famous OM compactness to a wide audience.

The OM10 operates in aperture-priority automatic exposure: you set the aperture and the camera chooses the appropriate shutter speed electronically. With the optional Manual Adapter attached, it also allows manual shutter speed selection.

Like all OM cameras, it is notably small and light, with a bright and clear viewfinder that makes focusing easy. Its unfussy layout makes it a pleasure to carry and use, whether for a day of travel or quick everyday snapshots.

LED indicators in the viewfinder guide exposure clearly, and the camera supports the Olympus Winder 2 and dedicated flash units for added convenience. It runs on common LR44/SR44 button-cell batteries.

The OM10 is an excellent choice for street photography, travel, portraits, and learning the fundamentals of film. Aperture-priority automation helps beginners get well-exposed photos while still learning creative control.

It accepts the entire range of Olympus OM Zuiko lenses, which are known for their compact size and excellent optical quality. Zuiko lenses also adapt easily to mirrorless cameras, making them a sound long-term investment.

Today the OM10 is valued as an affordable and stylish way into the OM system, giving access to superb Zuiko lenses in a body that is easy to love.

We recommend the OM10 to beginners and casual film shooters who want a light, attractive SLR with automatic exposure. It is a charming camera that makes film photography effortless.
