Professional Camera Store's Recommendation

A Classic Portrait Telephoto for the Mamiya 645 System

The Mamiya-Sekor C 150mm f/4 is the standard short telephoto lens of the original Mamiya 645 system, introduced alongside the M645 camera in the 1970s.

On the 6x4.5 format it gives a field of view similar to a 93mm lens on 35mm, an ideal focal length for portraits, half-body shots, and everyday telephoto photography.

Natural Perspective and Smooth Rendering

The moderate telephoto perspective flatters facial proportions and separates the subject from the background.

Combined with the large medium format negative, it produces natural tonality and pleasing background blur that is difficult to reproduce with smaller formats.

Compact and Easy to Handle

Despite being a medium format telephoto, the lens is compact and light enough for handheld shooting.

It uses common 58mm filters and works with the full range of Mamiya 645 film cameras, from the M645 and M645 1000S to the 645 Super and 645 Pro TL.

Why We Recommend This Lens

This lens is an affordable way to add a high-quality portrait telephoto to a Mamiya 645 kit.

Please note the slight inner haze described above, and check the photos to judge the condition before purchasing.

Everything shown in the photos is included in the package.
