The smc PENTAX-M 135mm f/3.5 is a compact manual-focus telephoto lens from Pentax's M series, the line of small, lightweight lenses introduced in 1977. It packs a classic 135mm focal length into a remarkably slim body, making it one of the most portable telephotos for the K mount.

Optically, it delivers sharp, contrasty images with Pentax's renowned SMC multi-coating, which helps maintain rich color and resist flare. The 135mm focal length provides flattering perspective compression and smooth background separation, especially for portraits and isolated subjects.

Like other M-series lenses, it features a well-built metal barrel, a smooth focusing ring, and a precise aperture ring. A built-in slide-out hood is always ready to shade the front element, so there is no separate hood to lose.

The lens shares the common 49mm filter size used by many M-series lenses, so filters can easily be shared across a compact Pentax kit. Its light weight and slim profile make it a true walk-around telephoto.

This lens is ideal for portraits, candid street photography, travel details, landscapes, and nature. Its reach lets you capture expressions and moments from a comfortable distance without disturbing your subject.

It mounts directly on any Pentax K-mount film or digital camera, including the K1000, MX, ME Super, and modern Pentax DSLRs, where it gains in-body shake reduction on many models. With a K-mount adapter, it also works well on Sony E, Fujifilm X, Canon RF, Nikon Z, and Micro Four Thirds mirrorless cameras.

Photographers appreciate this lens because it combines Pentax SMC quality, classic telephoto rendering, and outstanding portability at a very approachable price.

If you want a small and dependable 135mm telephoto with authentic Pentax craftsmanship, the smc PENTAX-M 135mm f/3.5 is an excellent addition to your camera bag.
