Camera Shop Comment
The Nikon NIKKOR-S.C Auto 55mm f/1.2 is a classic ultra-fast standard prime from Nikon’s early F-mount era. Its bright f/1.2 maximum aperture is the main attraction, offering excellent control over depth of field and strong low-light capability.

The 55mm focal length provides a natural perspective that works especially well for portraits, street photography, indoor shooting, and everyday photography. At wider apertures, the lens can produce a distinctive vintage rendering with smooth background separation and a softer, more atmospheric character, while stopping down improves contrast and sharpness.

The S.C designation indicates Nikon’s multi-coated version, helping to improve contrast and reduce flare compared with earlier single-coated versions.

Its solid metal construction and smooth manual-focus operation make it especially appealing to photographers who enjoy the mechanical feel of classic Nikkor lenses. The common 52mm filter size also makes it easy to use with a wide range of Nikon filters and accessories.

This lens is recommended for photographers looking for a fast vintage Nikon prime with character, strong subject isolation, and classic manual-focus handling. It is also an attractive option for adapted use on modern mirrorless cameras.

As a Non-Ai lens, compatibility should be checked carefully before mounting it on later Nikon camera bodies.

Everything shown in the photos is included in the package.
