■ About This Item (Professional Shop Comment)

The Pentax SMC Takumar 50mm f/1.4 is one of the most iconic vintage standard lenses ever produced, and this rare 8-blade version is especially sought after by collectors and photographers alike.

Compared to later 6- or 7-blade versions, the 8-blade diaphragm delivers a beautifully rounded aperture, producing exceptionally smooth and natural bokeh. This makes it highly desirable for portrait photography, cinematic video work, and artistic shooting where background rendering is critical.

The renowned Super Multi Coating (SMC) significantly improves contrast and color reproduction while reducing flare and ghosting. As a result, this lens performs impressively even in challenging lighting conditions, offering rich tones and classic analog character that modern lenses often cannot replicate.

At f/1.4, the lens provides excellent low-light capability and a distinctive shallow depth of field, allowing you to isolate subjects with a soft, dreamy background. Stopped down, it becomes remarkably sharp, making it versatile for a wide range of photography styles.

Its solid all-metal construction reflects the high manufacturing standards of vintage Pentax lenses, ensuring durability and a premium mechanical feel. The smooth focusing ring allows for precise manual control, which is especially appreciated by photographers and videographers.

Additionally, the M42 mount offers exceptional adaptability, making this lens compatible with a wide variety of modern digital cameras via simple adapters.

Whether you are a collector, a vintage lens enthusiast, or a professional looking to add unique character to your images, this rare 8-blade Takumar 50mm f/1.4 is a truly outstanding choice.

Everything shown in the photos is included in the package.
