The Canon FD 35-105mm f/3.5 is a high-quality manual-focus zoom from Canon's FD system. With a constant f/3.5 aperture across its full range, it was among Canon's better standard-to-telephoto zooms and was designed to give photographers versatile coverage without compromising image quality.

Optically, this lens is known for good sharpness and contrast, with the pleasing color and smooth rendering associated with Canon FD glass. The constant aperture keeps exposure consistent while zooming, making it convenient for both manual and automatic exposure shooting.

The lens feels substantial and well built, reflecting Canon's FD-era engineering. Its large 72mm front element gives it a serious presence, and the zoom and focus controls operate smoothly for precise composition.

Covering 35mm to 105mm, it spans moderate wide angle, standard, and classic portrait focal lengths in one lens. The constant f/3.5 aperture is especially useful when working with external light meters or flash.

It is ideal for travel, street, portrait, event, and landscape photography. Photographers who want one dependable lens on their FD body for most situations will find this range extremely practical.

The lens fits all Canon FD-mount cameras, including the AE-1, AE-1 Program, A-1, F-1, New F-1, and T-series bodies. On mirrorless systems such as Sony E, Fujifilm X, Canon RF, Nikon Z, and Micro Four Thirds, an FD adapter turns it into a versatile manual zoom for both stills and video.

Constant-aperture vintage zooms are valued for their consistent exposure, solid build, and classic look, and this lens remains an appealing option for photographers who want flexibility without giving up character.

If you want a versatile, well-built zoom that covers most everyday shooting needs on a Canon FD camera or adapted mirrorless body, the Canon FD 35-105mm f/3.5 is an excellent choice.
