Professional Camera Store's Recommendation

The SMC TAKUMAR 6×7 200mm f/4 is a classic medium-format telephoto prime for the Pentax 6×7 and 67 system. On the 6×7 format, its field of view is similar to a 100mm lens on 35mm, a classic portrait focal length.

Pentax's Super-Multi-Coating delivers excellent contrast and rich color, while the large negative provides outstanding detail and smooth tonality. Background blur is soft and attractive, making subjects stand out naturally.

The lens features the robust metal construction that defines the Takumar line, with a smooth focus ring and a precise aperture ring. It handles very naturally on the Pentax 67's SLR-style body.

Its moderate telephoto perspective gives flattering proportions for portraits while allowing a comfortable working distance from your subject.

The lens is ideal for portraits, fashion, landscape details and still life, and it is equally useful for travel and documentary work where a slightly longer view is needed.

It fits the Pentax 6×7, 67 and 67II cameras and can be adapted to mirrorless digital cameras, giving it a second life as a characterful telephoto on digital bodies.

Today, SMC Takumar 6×7 lenses are valued for their craftsmanship, beautiful rendering and the distinctive look of the 6×7 format.

We recommend this lens to Pentax 67 photographers looking for a classic portrait telephoto with authentic Takumar character.
