The Sony DT 18-250mm f/3.5-6.3 (SAL18250) is a remarkably versatile superzoom designed for Sony Alpha A-mount APS-C cameras. Its huge range, equivalent to roughly 27-375mm, covers everything from wide landscapes to distant telephoto subjects in a single lens.

The optical design uses aspherical and ED glass elements to help control distortion and chromatic aberration, delivering sharp, colorful images throughout most of the zoom range.

Despite its long reach, the lens remains compact and easy to carry at around 440g. The circular aperture contributes to soft, pleasing background blur.

With a close-focus distance of 45cm and a maximum magnification of 0.29x, the lens doubles as a capable close-up tool for flowers, food and details. Sony A-mount cameras with in-body SteadyShot stabilize this lens automatically.

It is an ideal travel and everyday lens: landscapes, cityscapes, portraits, sports, wildlife and family events can all be photographed without changing lenses, keeping your kit light and simple.

The lens fits Sony Alpha A-mount APS-C DSLRs and SLT cameras, and it can be used on Sony E-mount mirrorless cameras with an LA-EA series adapter, with autofocus support depending on the adapter and body.

Today the SAL18250 remains appreciated by A-mount shooters as one of the most flexible lenses in the system, giving exceptional range at a practical size.

We recommend this lens to Sony A-mount users who want a single, versatile lens for travel and everyday shooting. It is a convenient, capable companion for almost any situation.
