Camera Store Comment

The Tamron AF 28-200mm F/3.8-5.6 Aspherical LD Model 72D is a highly versatile all-in-one zoom lens designed for the Nikon F-mount system.

Its greatest advantage is the extremely useful 28-200mm focal length range. At 28mm, it provides a wide perspective suitable for landscapes, travel scenes, architecture, and everyday photography. At the telephoto end, 200mm provides enough reach for portraits, distant subjects, events, and outdoor photography.

This broad zoom range allows photographers to cover many situations without frequently changing lenses. For this reason, we particularly recommend the 72D as a convenient travel or walk-around lens for Nikon photographers.

The lens also incorporates Tamron's LD (Low Dispersion) and aspherical optical technologies, which were designed to help control optical aberrations across its extensive zoom range.

Another attraction of this lens is its compatibility with the long-established Nikon F-mount system. It is especially appealing for photographers using Nikon film SLRs or compatible Nikon DSLR bodies with a built-in autofocus motor.

For photographers who want to enjoy everything from wide-angle to telephoto photography with a single Nikon F-mount lens, the Tamron 28-200mm Model 72D is a practical and interesting choice from the classic autofocus era.

Its combination of a 28mm wide-angle starting point, 200mm telephoto reach, and relatively compact all-in-one design makes it particularly well suited for travel photography and photographers who prefer to carry fewer lenses.

Everything shown in the photos is included in the package.
